Additional Information

  • 1 mL Plasma, FROZEN from a Lavender Top top; Collect into chilled or pre-frozen plastic lavender-top (EDTA) tube, noting the time of collection. After venipuncture, immediately mix specimen by inversion several times to ensure complete mixture. Separate plasma from cells by centrifugation. Separate plasma into a plastic vial, and freeze within 15 minutes of collection. To avoid delays in turnaround time when requesting multiple test on frozen sample, PLEASE SUBMIT SEPARATE FROZEN SPECIMENS FOR EACH TEST REQUESTED. Also acceptable Frozen EDTA plasma with aprotinin(Trasylol)
